The Honolulu Star Advertiser<\/a> reported that Honolulu Police have arrested a U.S. marine sergeant for the death of a 29-year old woman whose naked body was found May 20, 2013 at Keawa\u02bbula (Yokohama Bay) on O\u02bbahu’s west side.<\/p>\n

A U.S. Marine sergeant has been arrested in the killing of a prostitute.<\/p>\n

Nathaniel L. Cosby was arrested by Honolulu police on suspicion of second-degree murder in the killing of Ivanice “Ivy” Harris.<\/p>\n

Cosby, 38, who lists his address as the Marine Corps Air Station at Iwakuni, Japan, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the passenger concourse at Honolulu Airport.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

KHON<\/a> reported that the body found was Ivanice “Ivy” Harris, who was visiting the islands and reported missing several days earlier. \u00a0Originally from Portland, OR, Harris was living in Las Vegas at the time. \u00a0She was reportedly a prostitute who worked for an escort service.<\/p>\n

According the Honolulu Star Advertiser:<\/p>\n

Honolulu police said Harris, 28, was visiting Honolulu from the mainland and was last seen on May 16 outside a Waikiki bar.<\/p>\n

Her body was found days later near an ocean cliff east of Yokohama Bay on the Leeward Coast.<\/p>\n

Harris, who was from Portland, Ore., lived in Las Vegas, according to her Facebook page, which shows a picture of her smiling as she stood on a beach, posted May 15.<\/p>\n

Friends said Harris worked as a prostitute. She was listed under an online escort service.<\/p>\n

Her friend Jillian Gibides, interviewed last month, said Harris arrived in Hawaii on May 7 and had been planning to celebrate her 29th birthday with friends on May 18.<\/p>\n

“It does not matter what she did for a living or anything else, whether she was a working girl or not,” Gibides said. “All that matters is to find out who killed my girlfriend.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
